Relevant to: Event Lead Management
When an event is finished, there are several things to do to ensure that lead data is ready for use and the dashboard is kept orderly for your next events. This article advises how to manage event lead data and conclude the lead capture process in the Event Lead Management system.
Sync lead data from mobile devices to the dashboard
It's important to remind your team to sync all mobile devices after an event. The process of syncing data from the mobile app enables data to flow to the dashboard and into your integrated systems. If the mobile app has not synced, any leads collected on that specific device will not be available in the dashboard.
Syncing Data |
If you or someone in your team is experiencing difficulties syncing devices during or after an event, do not delete the app. Removing the app will cause any unsynced data to be lost and it will not be retrievable. See Syncing Data for advice. |
Review and edit lead data in the dashboard
Once mobile devices have been synced with the dashboard, you can view all the leads collected in the Event. You can also edit the data if necessary and view previous lead versions.

Final checks to confirm data has been received as expected by your integrated systems
It is advised to routinely check that data is flowing into integrated systems throughout the duration of the event. After the event has finished, perform a final check to confirm that all data has been received by the integrated system.
If you are sending data directly to your Marketing Automation or CRM system through an integration: compare the lead count in the Event with your Marketing Automation or CRM system to confirm that all data has been received and accurately routed.
If you are sending data to the Demand Acceleration Platform: check that leads have been accepted and rejected by the Demand Acceleration Platform as expected, and that data counts match in the two systems.

Export lead data from the dashboard
If you're not sending lead data directly to your Marketing Automation or CRM system through an integration, you can export the data as a spreadsheet (.xlsx or .csx) from the dashboard. You can then apply any additional formatting as needed and upload it into your Marketing Automation or CRM system.
Data will always be available in the dashboard - even when Events are archived (see next step) - but it is best to export data soon after the Event so that you can implement any follow-up action(s) quickly.

Archive the Event in the dashboard
Once you are satisfied that the flow of data is complete and the Event is no longer actively collecting leads, it is good practice to archive the Event. Doing so will move it from your list of active Events in the dashboard and it will no longer appear in the mobile app. Archiving Events helps to keep the dashboard tidy as you prepare for the next event and prevents confusion for mobile app users.
