Creating a Media Partner Source in the Demand Acceleration Platform
Use your Campaign as a template to build your Sources quickly. The properties of the associated Campaign have been copied to the new Source and you should only need to make small changes. |
1. In the Demand Acceleration Platform and navigate to Campaigns > My Campaigns. Open the CPL Campaign that you created in the previous step, see Building a CPL Campaign for Content Syndication.
2. Click on the Add New Source button and select Add Media Partner Source.
3. This opens the Add Media Partner Source modal.
Fill out the following information:
Field | Recommendation |
Media Partner |
Select the associated Media Partner from the dropdown list.
|
Start Date |
Add the date that the Source should go live and begin collecting leads.
|
Total Allocation |
Review the total number of leads that can be generated by a Source - edit if required.
|
Payout |
Review the value or cost of each accepted lead in the Source - edit if required.
|
Currency |
Select the currency type from the dropdown menu - edit if required.
|
Once complete, either click:
- Make additional changes to proceed to the Source setup, see Making additional changes to a Media Partner Source.
- Send Sources to send the Source to the Media Partner. Skip to Sending the Source to a Media Partner.
Making additional changes to a Media Partner Source
The Source is automatically set to Draft and is now housed in your Campaign. Make any adjustments to the settings of your new Source as needed by moving methodically left to right through the tabs.
If needed, Sources in the Draft status can be 'deleted' by hitting the Discard button. This is an irreversible action that can only be completed in the Draft status. |
Name your Source
You can give your Source a nickname - known as the Source Alias - to help you identify it. This is done in the Summary Tab by clicking on the Source title. Type your new Source Alias and it will save automatically when you click elsewhere.
The Source Alias can be anything you like - we recommend determining a naming convention to use across all your Sources, which will help you to identify them.
Confirm Start and End Dates
The General Settings have been inherited from the associated Campaign. |
In the Source General Settings Tab, check and confirm the start and end dates. Leads will only be accepted into this Source within these dates. You can make adjustments based on your needs for this particular Media Partner Source.
Confirm set up of fields
The fields and validations have been inherited from the associated Campaign. |
In the Source Fields Tab, you can make changes or additions as needed to collect and validate the lead data that will come from your Media Partner.
To check the detail of each field and any validation that has been set up, click on the Source Field. This will open the Field Details panel and reveal the editing and validations available for that field type.
Add or remove any validations specific to this Source to block any undesirable data (eg. invalid emails, competitor domains).
These field validations help determine whether leads are accepted to be passed through to your Marketing Automation or CRM system or rejected by the Demand Acceleration Platform. To read more about types of field validations available, see Field Types & Validations.
Confirm assets
The content assets have been inherited from the associated Campaign. |
If using the assets functionality, confirm the content assets that have been uploaded to share with the Media Partner. If needed, add new content assets that are specific to this Media Partner Source. See more information in Assets/Creative.
Confirm terms
The Source terms have been inherited from the associated Campaign. |
In the Terms Tab, you can adjust these as needed for this particular Source, including the rules for duplicate leads.
Confirm outbound integration
The integration has been inherited from the associated Campaign. |
In the Integration Tab, you can make changes or additions to post out accepted leads according to the needs of your Media Partner Source (eg. add routing details specific to your form).
Open your Source integration tile to make changes and to send a test lead, then click Save.
For more about setting up and testing your specific Marketing Automation and CRM integration, see Integrations & Post-outs.
Sending the Source to a Media Partner
Once you have completed the Source build, click Send Source. This will inform the Media Partner that there is a new Source to review and will prompt them to accept it, in order to begin collecting leads.
It is recommended to let the Media Partner know directly that there is a new Source ready for them to review and accept. Always include the Source ID * in your correspondence with the Media Partner.
See Launching a Media Partner Source for more information.
Your Media Partner Source is now setup. The next step is to liaise with your Media Partner to complete the Source launch. |
